This wedding that I am going to show you today represents why Mallorca is a great destination for international weddings. It has been from the very beginning that we met this couple a beautiful wedding that as a wedding photographer Finca Comassema I have loved to do.
For the venue they chose to have their wedding at Finca Comassema, Mallorca. They are Kate and Dorian, she is from Gibraltar and he is French. When we met them online via skype we had a super fun meeting. They live in London and had everything very well organised from there. Of course the fact that Kate is a long time event organiser helps a lot.

They filled us in on what they had prepared and what their preferences were when it came to important moments to photograph. It was clear to us that Kate was going to have some super bridesmaids as she is lucky enough to have great friends from many years ago. In addition, her beautiful mother and two brothers would be important protagonists.
On Dorian’s side his friends and family were going to put a lot of fun too, we couldn’t imagine how much fun they were going to have. His father, as you can see from the photos, was the main protagonist of the preparations and gave us some great photos.
The week before the wedding we went to Finca Comassema to see and study the locations perfectly. I like to personalise each wedding as I believe that each couple is unique. They all have their own style and depending on that I prepare myself so that everything goes perfectly and they have the dream wedding they want.

The day of the wedding arrived and first we went with Dorian to Finca Honor Vell where he was staying. For this occasion as wedding photographer Finca Comassema I had Arantxa Rustarazo as my video partner. I had worked with her before in editorials and I really wanted to work on our first wedding together.
Dorian greeted us with a smile and from minute one he started cracking jokes. He is a lovely and friendly man who makes everything super easy. He seemed very calm and organised. On a table he had neatly laid out the matching socks and ties he had for all his groomsmen. Also, the box of cigars Kate had given him, which was beautiful.
There were six groomsmen in total and we placed them all in front of a wonderful window with incredible light. Adrian told us that he had wanted his father to take part in the preparations but he was at the pool enjoying himself and wasn’t going to come. That said, his father suddenly appeared with his swimming costume, towel on his shoulder, all wet and wearing his swimming goggles.
It was like an appearance in a French comedy film. He was all smiles and thought it was great that I asked him to pose with them like that and put his son’s tie on. It was great, so far as a wedding photographer at Finca Comassema I hadn’t had anything like that in the groom’s preparations. It gave me a spectacular and super funny photo. Also, when we went outside and everyone was drinking a whisky, suddenly the window at the back opened and he appeared. He took the bottle of whisky and joined everyone, we couldn’t stop laughing, it was great.

From there we rushed to the Hotel L’Hermitage where Karen was having her hair and make-up done. She had hired Ala Perfect Hair and Makeup with whom I had met at other weddings and I was happy to see her again. She was making Karen look beautiful and very natural, she looked like an international model.
Kate’s mother dressed up and looked stunning, we understood where Kate got her beauty from. It was also very interesting for us how being from Gibraltar they have had a fully bilingual upbringing. They could switch from speaking perfect British to Spanish with an incredible Andalusian accent, it was great fun. From there we went to the wedding venue at Finca Comassema.

Kate preferred to put on her dress at the Finca Comassema in the porch next to the room they have for the bride. At the back there is a small window and the light coming in from there was brutal. I tried to make the most of the place. Kate looked stunning, she had chosen a dress from Made with Love Bridal, elegant and modern as she was, and it looked perfect on her. Her mother and her friends helped her put it and her shoes on.
Little by little the guests were arriving and Dorian and his groomsmen went to welcome them. There were about 110 guests from all over the world, France, UK, Italy, Gibraltar etc….
The part of the ceremony was already prepared by Floristeria Es Brot, it was very beautiful and the sun was going to be the main protagonist as it was the month of August in Mallorca. Everything was ready for what promised to be a great and beautiful wedding at Finca Comassema Mallorca.

Dorian wanted to wait for Kate at the altar and we were all ready for her to make her grand entrance. The Finca Comassema bell rang which meant that the bride was about to make her entrance. At the bottom of the stairs were waiting the groomsmen who offered their arm one by one to the bridesmaids coming down. Kate made her appearance on the arm of her two brothers. She was beaming and happy and looking forward to seeing Dorian.
The officiant Annie Verrinder, who I have also worked with before and love, made it a very enjoyable ceremony by telling anecdotes about the two of them. It was all very simple and had some funny parts that made us laugh. They put on their rings and kissed each other before making their exit. At the end of the aisle the confetti cannons exploded and they had another kiss and all the guests were up and clapping their hands and congratulating the bride and groom.
Cocktail and banquet at Finca Comassema
From there we moved to the cocktail area where Amida catering had everything ready. There was all kinds of appetising food passing on trays from one side to the other. All the guests were having a great time chatting and congratulating the bride and groom as they moved from one group to the next. Amida had also set up food stations with one cook making delicious pasta inside cheese, another making different kinds of scrambled eggs and a barbecue with prawns and shrimps.
During the cocktail there were several very moving speeches especially from Dorian’s brother and Kate’s brother Richard telling many anecdotes. It was hard to hold back the tears at times, he had to stop a couple of times because he was crying with emotion, it was very beautiful. There was a lot of love and affection at this wedding and you could feel that they were one big united family. As a wedding photographer Finca Comassema I was loving everything that was happening.
Halfway through the cocktail we grabbed the bride and groom as the sun and heat had gone down a bit and went to take their couple photos. I had planned to take one in the field with all the groomsmens and bridesmaids. I had bought tubes of white smoke for everyone as I wanted to take a specific photo. It was amazing and we had a great time, the photo came out great. Then we went with them to the ceremony area which was already set up and I sat them on two chairs with champagne. We took several photos where they had a great time. A wedding at Finca Comassema Mallorca gives you many possibilities as it is such a beautiful and well-kept Finca.

We got back quickly as I don’t like the bride and groom to miss any of the wedding. They all went to the banquet area which was amazing with all the decorations they put up. The Amida group apart from having one of the best organisation in Mallorca makes spectacular food. I always love the service and everything they do.

After a magnificent dinner at Finca Comassema we all went to the area where the magnificent tree is all lit up. It is one of the hallmarks of the Finca and as a wedding photographer at Finca Comassema I love it. For the photos it is essential that there is always good lighting and here I enjoy it very much, there is always a very good photographic result.
Kate and Dorian did the typical cake cutting and then their wedding dance. They were accompanied by all the guests lighting sparklers, they stood around them and it was magical. The DJ from Lomusic Espectacles started to play and the party began. Everyone started dancing with Kate and her bridesmaids in the lead.
It was great to see everyone happy and enjoying themselves. As a wedding photographer at Finca Comassema I had a great time and even danced with the bride and her brother. We said goodbye to Kate and Dorian thanking them and congratulating them again, it had been an amazing wedding that we will always remember.
