This island is undoubtedly a paradise, in Mallorca we can find dream locations. Above all as a photographer in Mallorca for me has been very special to do this wedding in Son Marroig Deià Mallorca.

By all means Son Marroig is a historic estate on the west coast of Mallorca, in the town of Deià. The construction of Son Marroig dates back to the 19th century. All the estate was designed by the Italian architect Francesco Varella and is composed of several buildings, including the main house, a chapel and a watcht

This stunning Posesión boasts panoramic views of the sea and the Tramuntana mountains, making it a prime location for events and weddings. At first when I was contacted by Annie and Olivia from A White Hot Wedding about having a wedding here I was delighted. They were going to be the wedding planners. In fact the couple couldn’t had choosen better.

The couple was going to be Courtney and Alan whom I met in person when they came a few months ago. We arranged to meet at Son Marroig to see the Possession together. As soon as I met them I knew it was going to be a very special wedding and above all very elegant.

Courtney had a lot of great ideas and knew very well how she wanted everything to be. When she had the opportunity to show me her dress I could already think of many photos for her amazing wedding in Son Marroig Deià Mallorca. I loved it, she has a great taste for sure. It was elegant and modern and the same time, just perfect!

They especially wanted their wedding photographer in Mallorca to be creative and do different things. So they couldn’t have got it better. I love it when they trust in my creativity to shoot artistic photos. In addition, La Posesión has one of the most desired locations for many couples, the famous Dome.

As you enter the garden from the ground floor, just to the right stands this amazing structure. It is made of Carranza marble on a circular base. When accessing it has four steps and is surrounded by eight Ionic style columns.

The hemispherical dome that covers it has a sculptural decoration with floral bows. Then the path to the Dome narrows little by little until you reach it makes it a magical place where the ceremonies take place.

When we walked up to it with Courtney and Alan you could see how excited they were. Just the thought of celebrating their wedding at Son Marroig Deià Mallorca with all this scenery was incredible. Of course this setting becomes even more spectacular at sunset. It sets just to the right of the dome in summer and creates a magical atmosphere of light and color. As a wedding photographer in Mallorca I really wanted to do a wedding here.

Just the morning of the big day the sun woke up bright and shining, it was going to be the star of this wedding. I headed first to the hotel where Alan was going to make the preparations. He was waiting for me with his groomsmen and his father, all looking forward to having a good time.

Alan had a bathtub ready with foam, yellow duckies and champagne. He wanted everything to be special and he was determined to do it. For this wedding in Son Marroig Deia Mallorca I was going to have Dani Mota as my partner in the video. I was looking forward to working with him again after doing it last season.

We were both part of the preparations as everyone dressed up in their tuxedos and toasted. Once Alan was ready we went to Son Marroig where the bride was waiting. She had been made up and styled by the great Lucia Zima, . I was sure she looked spectacular.

Once we parked we headed inside and like it or not you are always impressed with the place. We greeted Annie and Alicia from A White Hot Wedding, who were putting the finishing touches on everything. They are without a doubt a pleasure to work with, they are some of the best wedding planners on the island. We have been in very close contact organizing the whole schedule of how and when to take the pictures. I always prepare a lot for each wedding and dedicate a lot of time to them.

For me every wedding is unique and special, just like every couple. I always prepare the photos I want to shoot well in advance according to their style and taste.

Specially for this wedding in Son Marroig Deià Mallorca I had everything ready. Of course, many unexpected things also come up and I love that because they are moments. If there is something that characterizes me is knowing how to capture the most special moments in each wedding. Then to relive them with my photos is incredible for me.

The bride with her bridesmaids and her mother were already here. I had Courtney changed with the help of her mother in a special and spectacular place. It was private between the two of them and then they joined all the bridesmaids on the balcony of the arches. She looked incredible !!

This balcony is reached through a room that has a portrait of the young Archduke painted by Pizá. This balcony or terrace has five arches with Tuscan columns and balustrade. Directly in front you can see the Mediterranean in all its splendor with the Dome and La Foradada. An incredible and mesmerizing view.

The bridesmaids were all gazing at Courtney in her wedding dress for the first time, all in awe of how amazing it looked on her. It was a Rachel Rose Bridal design purchased at Dress Dreams Bridal Boutique. She looked gorgeous and the big bow on the back was a standout. They enjoyed a glass of cava and a few laughs in their preparations looking forward to the big moment.

All the guests started to arrive little by little and were welcomed at the claustra by Alan at the welcome drink. The caterer for this wedding in Son Marroig Deià Mallorca was Marc Fosh who we always love to work with. It was quite hot, which is normal for the month of June and a lemonade is nice. Annie and Olivia told everyone to start taking their seats for the ceremony.

When they passed through the gate and entered the gardens, everyone, of course, was left open-mouthed at the view. Cell phones came out to take pictures and videos of the Dome which was decorated at the entrance and in the middle of the dome by very elegant white flowers. The atmosphere was spectacular, without a doubt the most beautiful thing about this 15th century mansion.

All the guests were seated, the bridesmaids with the groomsmen made their entrance. All eyes turned to the back to see Courtney on her mother’s arm. She was beaming and trying not to cry from all the excitement. She was finally with Alan who was in awe of her. It is perhaps one of the most magical moments of weddings and one that I love the most.

The officiant was Annie who explained very nicely how the couple met and things about their relationship. There were several speeches, one of which was Alan’s father who read a poem. Then they said their vows to each other, exchanged rings and said I do. They walked out hand in hand happily raising their arms and kissed at the end. It seemed like such a beautiful fairy tale.

Everyone joined the cocktail party where they received congratulations from friends and family. Marc Fosh catering brought trays of canapés and drinks which were enjoyed by all. I took the two of them away for a moment to take some couple photos taking advantage of the hours of daylight that were available.

They then entered the banquet where there were several speeches from friends and family. The most special was a toast to Courtney’s father with Budweiser, which was his favorite beer. At weddings you always miss those who are sadly gone.

During a moment of the dinner I took all the bridesmaids and groomsmen to take pictures uncorking champagne in a funny way. And at the end they made a champagne tower with the Dome in the background. This led to the bridal dance which they did right on the terrace and we all headed to the indoor area for the party. As a live band they had brought Discovers who are great and were already playing inside.

After an hour of partying I said goodbye to the bride and groom and thanked them for their trust. All in all it had been a spectacular wedding in Son Marroig Deià Mallorca. I wish them all the happiness in the world and that we see each other again soon.
