For this wedding in Mallorca the bride and groom were clear that they wanted an intimate and fun celebration. The most important thing was to be surrounded by their loved ones and live every moment intensely. They are Hollie and Myles, a lovely English couple that we met a year ago. We had a video call where the first contact was great. They told us that they wanted me to be their photographer in Mallorca at Son Togores which was the finca they had chosen.

Talking to them it was as if we already knew each other, apart from making a great couple they were nice and funny. We immediately had a great connection and I couldn’t be happier. Besides, Son Togores is one of my favourite fincas as a photographer in Mallorca.

They were going to come to the island before the summer to finalise the details of the wedding and we arranged to meet. I always love getting to know my couples, it creates a bond that helps me to personalise each wedding.

We met at the restaurant Villa Luisa in the port of Soller, one of my favourite places. They are even more adorable in person and we gave each other hugs happy to finally meet. They were telling me details of how they wanted their wedding in Son Togores to be.

The truth is that I was really looking forward to it and they had a very clear idea of what they wanted. It was going to be a wedding with a lot of personality, with no more than 90 guests and only those who had to be there.

Time flies these days and after an intense summer September has come unexpectedly. It seems that in Mallorca we have an endless summer with incredible weather. The morning of the big day dawned with splendid sunshine and blue skies. We had arranged to go to Soller to a house in the mountains .Myles was staying there for his preparations.

Then at home with friends he opened a bottle of cava and got dressed between toasts and last minute phone calls. As a photographer in Mallorca I was very excited about this wedding in Son Togores and it was a good start.

From there we went to the house where the bride was going to make her preparations. It was close by which is always an advantage and I recommend to all my couples so that they don’t waste time travelling. We went in and found her with her friends and bridesmaids and her mother.

Her hair and make-up was already done by one of her friends who had done a spectacular job. With her hair slicked back and her make-up very natural Hollie looked amazing. She was wearing a lingerie set with white shorts and a white tank top.

She went to put on the dress she had designed herself and we were all waiting for her to appear downstairs. Her friends opened a bottle of cava to toast which is always a good tradition. Suddenly she appeared down those stairs and we all stood there with our mouths open. She looked like a Hollywood star.

Her mother was filming it for her grandmother who had not been able to come and I’m sure she would be very happy about it later. They toasted with cava all seated on a sofa. I took advantage of the incredible light to take some very special photos. Without a doubt this wedding as a photographer in Mallorca Son Togores is one of the most magical weddings I have ever experienced.

We set off for the Finca eager to get started. When we parked the bus with guests had just arrived and so had Myles. He was finally with his bestman who had not been able to be present during the preparations. He greeted the guests at the welcome drink and they all set off for the ceremony.

The ceremony was to take place on the stone steps where the façade of the 1891 building can be seen.

Many choose to celebrate at Finca Son Togores because of its great beauty. It is surrounded by forests and mountains as well as having a variety of spaces. The clastra as well as the stately rooms and the large garden terraces are beautiful and very well maintained.

For the floral decoration the couple had chosen Floristería Es Brot with whom we love to work. The decoration was marked by very cheerful tones. Such as red, orange, lilac. They also included small details in more special tones for the bride’s bouquet which was beautiful.

Everyone took their seats and Myles stood at the altar, he wanted to wait there for the bride. First the bridesmaids came in and then Hollie appeared, looking radiant. She was holding her father’s and mother’s arms and looking happily at Myles who was thrilled to see her.

Once they were together the ceremony began, led by Luke, her brother. It was short but emotional, they read each other’s vows and exchanged rings. The final moment came when they kissed and left happily amidst petals thrown by the guests.

With the couple happy and more relaxed after the ceremony I took advantage of the moments between taking the guests to the aperitif area to take some couple photos.

As I always do I had lots of photos prepared especially for them. So it didn’t take long and they soon joined everyone in the cocktail area by the pool.

For this wedding we had Marc Fosh as caterer and it is always a pleasure to work with them. Both on a gastronomic level and all the staff are some of the best on the island. The guests were enjoying all the delicious appetizers that were brought on trays.

Almost at the end of the cocktail the couple did their first dance in front of the pool. They were smiling and happy, they did a choreography that was perfect and ended with a kiss. From there we went to the banquet area where the tables were beautifully decorated.

There were candles and small vases with different flowers chosen in bright and cheerful colours. The fountain in the middle served as a touch to this area which is also very well illuminated and as a photographer in Mallorca Son Togores I love it.

The couple made their entrance by dancing together among the tables while the guests raised their napkins in the air. This is always a special moment and a great time was had by all. Once seated there were several very moving speeches especially from Hollie’s father who brought tears to our eyes with his words. The couple also spoke and the bestman in speeches. Then the banquet began where the catering by Marc Fosh delighted everyone.

After desserts we had the moment of the champagne tower where Myles gave it his all with the bottle. Hollie took the opportunity to throw the bouquet and a conga started with Gloria Estefan’s song that took everyone to the disco area. The wedding was already a party and there with the open bar the guests enjoyed the Lo Music dj who played music throughout the wedding.

After a good time with the couple and all of us dancing and drinking espresso martinis we said goodbye.

It had been a pleasure to be their photographer in Mallorca at Finca Son Togores. One of the most magical and special weddings I have had and will always remember. They are a couple that I love very much, I thank them for their trust and all their love and kindness. I wish them all the best in the world and I hope to see them again very soon.
