This wedding that I present to you today has been pure fun from the beginning. Their names are Sarah and Chris, a young couple who have many good friends. In addition, amazing parents who made me feel at home and this is how this great English wedding in Mallorca turned out.

Sarah contacted me in August last year. I immediately understood that she wanted her wedding to be like a big celebration. All weddings are more or less different because not all couples are the same. Sometimes they are more traditional and sometimes more relaxed. To get to know each other better we made a video call. I always like to have a personal contact with couples.

After the video call it was clear, they wanted to have fun more than anything else. I can assure you that in this English wedding in Mallorca everyone had a lot of fun.

They were coming to Mallorca at the beginning of October so we arranged to meet then. The wedding was to be held at the house that belongs to Sarah’s parents near Palma. They have been living here for many years and Sarah knows the island well, all were good reasons to do it here.

When we arrived we gave each other two kisses happy to finally see them in person. We were introduced to their parents who were just on vacation and we saw all the spaces. The house has a large garden overlooking a golf course, super nice.

They were planning to have the ceremony in the back where an esplanade that at that time was full of bushes. They were going to clean it all up and make it decent for next year. Then the front area of the house would be filled with grass and there would be the cocktail party and then the banquet. There were big trees that would serve as shade for the aperitif. At that point you just had to figure it all out and it was potentially a very good idea.

We entered the house to see where Sarah’s preparations would be. Her parents are art lovers and for many years they have been acquiring beautiful works of art. You can find them all over the house which is very stylishly decorated and beautiful.

When we saw a bedroom with a large window and a huge mirror on one wall, we decided that this place was perfect. So we said goodbye until next time. Looking forward to the big day of this English wedding in Mallorca.

Time flies by and without further ado we are already in the middle of wedding season 2023. We were really looking forward to seeing Sarah and Chris again and to see how everything turned out.

The groom was going to make the preparations in a hotel with his family so in the morning we went there first. For this wedding they had hired the great Arantxa Rustarazo for the video so we arranged to meet there.

Chris was with his whole family enjoying the moments before the big party. He introduced us to all of them who were happy and smiling trying to take the June heat well. We took some fun pictures in the hallway of the hotel because we couldn’t fit in the room. He was going to wear a light blue suit with a shirt and very comfortable light brown shoes. From there we went to the Finca looking forward to this English wedding in Mallorca.

Sarah was waiting for us with her lovely mother trying to help with everything. We met her bridesmaids, one of them was her sister Lucy. When she put on her dress with her mother we took pictures of her in that mirror room that gave a lot of play. Her bouquet was beautiful with amazing bright colors, lilacs, whites, reds, I loved it. It was made by Otro Cantar who was in charge of all the decoration.

All the bridesmaids were running around trying to do the things they needed to do. We caught them downstairs to take pictures with Sarah toasting with champagne as is tradition. Then we left for the welcome drink area.

International wedding in Mallorca

In this English wedding in Mallorca we were going to work with La Alacena. They have teamed up with Michelin-starred chef Andreu Genestra. Which is very exciting. We were really looking forward to working with them as they are one of the best caterers and organisers on the island and they are all lovely. Maria would be the wonderful manager who had everything under control and beautiful. Undoubtedly great professionals who know how to make a perfect wedding with a smile.

When we were able to see the property after all the work they had done, we were amazed. All the spaces had turned out impressive, it was beautiful with a wonderful garden. There were two long tables with a huge red striped tablecloth for each one. I loved the decoration of the tables, very original, with a unique design that I had not had before. Both the dishes and the details made this English wedding in Mallorca even more special.

Guests were slowly beginning to arrive. Chris was on hand to greet them and offer them a cold drink as soon as they arrived. They also had umbrellas and fans ready. No doubt June is a very hot month in Mallorca and you have to know how to fight it in the best way.

The guests, who were undoubtedly very stylish and elegant, sat in their seats waiting for the ceremony to begin. Chris preferred to be at the altar rather than make an entrance so we were all waiting for Sarah. She arrived on her father’s arm happy and with a big smile on her face as she joined Chris at last.

The ceremony was officiated by Sarah’s brother-in-law in a fun and entertaining way. There was even the Jewish tradition of breaking a glass with the foot wishing prosperity and happiness. They said “I do” with a kiss and left with everyone throwing petals at them.

At the entrance of the cocktail area they toasted and both of them gave each person a glass of cava. They received congratulations from everyone and were happily chatting with each other. La Alacena brought out trays with appetizers that everyone was enjoying very much.

There was a duo playing live music throughout the cocktail and I took the opportunity for some quick couple photos. As I said from the beginning, what they wanted most was to enjoy everything with their people. So as I am very fast and I have everything prepared before, it didn’t take me even 10 minutes to take a lot of pictures.

We moved on to the banquet area where they made a quick entrance with Bamboleo as the song and everyone waving their napkins in the air. There were several speeches where above all the great affection and pride that they both have for their parents stood out. That part was very emotional and there was a lot of applause.

After a wonderful dinner from La Alacena, a bottle of typical Mallorcan herbs was brought out. Chris proposed that everyone tried it, even the bride. Then the party music started with a dj friend of theirs who made everyone dance to song after song. It was a lot of fun and they even lifted the couple in chairs as if it was a Jewish wedding. The truth is that it was a spectacular party.

After a while I took the opportunity to thank Sarah and Chris and congratulate them for this wonderful English wedding in Mallorca. I wish them all the happiness in the world and I hope to see them and have a few beers with them when they come back to the island.
